Nureen and Omar planned their tropical Hawaii destination wedding all the way from Calgary in Canada. Nureen is a doctor in family medicine and left much of the planning up to us. Once the date was set, the menus were picked, and the rehearsal scheduled, we didn’t hear too much from them! They put our Wedding Questionnaire and Recommended Vendor List to use, for a wedding that was personal to them, but simple to plan. Our event coordinator took the reins at their first meeting and rehearsal for a smooth and beautiful wedding day.

Our favorite part of their wedding day were the Indian influences that they incorporated into the ceremony and reception. We passed out a traditional rosewater and cardamom lassi drink to their guests before the ceremony. During the reception, the mothers of the bride and groom performed their family ceremony to bring the two together as one. Their wedding was a unique mix of Hawaii and Indian ceremonies for a beautiful celebration!
